Quinoa Corporation and Andean Valley Corporation Associate to Support Organic Royal Quinoa Farmers with the Consumer Social Responsibility Program

Quinoa Corporation was the first company to import Quinoa to the US in 1983, and now 31 years later it is one of the few companies that supports an important Consumer Social Responsibility Program associated with Andean Valley???s Providers Program which gathers over 450 Organic Royal Quinoa Farmers.
Quinoa Corporation???s CEO, Mr. Blake Waltrip is no stranger to Bolivia and it???s customs, speaking fluent Spanish and having been in the country many times, his last visit in March was a very important and special one for Andean Valley???s Organic Royal Quinoa Farmers as the company donated an important amount of money to the farmers of the Community Chijllapata for them to build a road on the mountainside where they have their Organic Royal Quinoa Plantations.
The farmers from Chijllapata have forever produced Quinoa on the mountainsides where the grain is less likely to be exposed to the freezing weathers of the Altiplano and where the land is thought to be more fertile, and for centuries they have carried their sowing tools up the mountaintop and later on carried down not only their tools, but the Quinoa Harvest as well with the help of characteristic animals such as Llamas.
Andean Valley Corporation sponsored the first part of this important road a few years ago, and now with the donation of Quinoa Corporation the road is finally complete all the way to the mountaintop, so now Producers can access these remote areas known very well by them with their cars which will facilitate enormously their production techniques.
